HE'S MONTANA.
PLAIN & SIMPLE.

Introductory photo

It’s plain and simple to see what sets Jon Tester apart.

100 years ago, Jon Tester’s grandparents were homesteaders. They settled on the outskirts of Big Sandy, on the farm where Jon and his wife raised their own children. Now, he's the only working farmer in the U.S. Senate.

Jon grew up working the land. He lost three fingers in a work accident, but it didn’t keep him from continuing his family’s tradition of hard work, independence, and service to our community.

In the U.S. Senate,
Jon Tester is committed to fighting for all Montanans.

Health Care Costs

Tester took on the big pharmaceutical companies to make insulin and other prescription drugs more affordable.

Public Lands

He’s using his power to keep Montana’s public lands in public hands – not allowing them to be sold for private gain.

Veterans

As the Chair of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Tester won the largest pay raise for active service members in two decades, and he increased funding for veterans’ mental health services and toxic chemical exposure treatments.

Social Security & Medicare

Tester will keep fighting to protect Social Security and Medicare from risky schemes to gamble it in the stock market or turn Medicare over to corporate for-profit health insurers.

Roads & Bridges

Tester successfully brought hundreds of millions of our tax dollars back to Montana to fix our roads and bridges – and expand high-speed internet service.

Local Investment

Tester supports keeping Montana's not-for-profit credit unions strong, because they keep money in local communities, charging lower interest rates and helping small businesses grow and create jobs.
